On April 10, 2006 Jennifer Lee Aldrich Sevy, 32 years old and niece of Don and DeeAnn Garner, lost her life leaving behind 3 children ages 3, 6, and 9. Don and DeeAnn Garner hosted a bike run the third weekend in July of 2006 to help raise money for the funeral costs.

In 2008, BNC M/M was founded to provide Community Outreach in rememberance of Jennifer Lee Aldrich Sevy.
